Is LVT right for you and your home?

If you have recently started shopping for a new flooring then you may be feeling quite overwhelmed. There are so many options available – but which is the best choice for you and your home?

LVT?
Carpet?
Laminate?
Vinyl?

In many high-street stores there’s often a sales person pushing you towards something that suits their commission structure rather than what is best for you.

Our approach is different

Whilst we are in your home we are able to help you by assessing your requirements and heavy foot flow areas.  We also help you to visualise how your new flooring will look by bringing samples straight to your home.  During your appointment we will explain all of the suitable options and guide you in your decision making.

If you decide that LVT is the best option for you we will then be able to recommend any accessories and suggest any remedial work needed.

Don’t worry because, unlike some carpet shops, we will never sell you something you don’t need.

Herringbone

A huge appeal of LVT Flooring is that it can be laid and fitted in a Herringbone Pattern. LVT planks are fixed directly to the floor – not locked together like laminate. This allows for a wide selection of patterns including the very popular Herringbone design.

Straight Plank

If you are looking for a more traditional plank effect then LVT can, ofcourse, be fitted straight or on the diagonal. Borders and Feature Strips are easily included with any LVT installation. Simply discuss your ideas and preferences with David or Theo.

Sub-Floor

LVT can be fitted on top of wood and concrete floors but the sub-floor needs to be perfectly flat, in excellent standard and dry. Remedial work may be recommended before fitting. If this is the case we can make suggestions and if our fitters are unable to assist then we can give you a list of recommended tradesmen as required.

Cost

LVT is the more expensive than laminate and traditional vinyl flooring.

Manufacturers

We can supply and fit LVT from many different manufacturers including Polyflor and Luvanto.  The LVT manufactured by these companies is comparable in quality and wear to popular brands such as Amtico and Karndean but at a cheaper price.
