Here is Alicia’s Striped Landing Carpet – please see the other gallery image to see her stairs. When we met at her home in Cheadle Heath we discussed the direction of the stripes.
The stripes must always run vertically especially on the stairs. Not only is this because of the way the carpet is manufactured but laying it horizontally would result in creases and premature wear.
