THE IDEAL NURSERY CARPET
Emma Robinson of Cheadle Hulme asked me to supply a plain carpet for her nursery. It’s inevitable that some spillages are going to happen. Here’s what we advised.
THE BEST CARPETS FOR A NURSERY
“I advised this client to choose a bleach cleanable carpet so that typical stains such as – baby milk, soft drinks and food can be cleaned up easily.” – David O’Neill, Owner, Out & About.
Project Description
The carpet she chose is called Hamilton, it’s a short compact heavy domestic twist pile. Due to it’s heavy wear characteristics and with regular maintenance it will last 10-15 years in a light domestic use room.
Although it’s not a very thick pile it will give a long term wear, especially as she chose to use a 10mm thick underlay which also gives it a very sumptuous feel.
The colour is quite neutral but that makes it very versatile. Eventually she’ll change the decor and theme of the room and any colour scheme she chooses will blend with it.
